Root Canal Treatment (Endodontics)

Root Canal Treatment (Endodontics)

Endodontics, also known as root canal treatment, is a form of treatment applied in cases where the dental pulp is damaged in such a way that it cannot repair itself. The dental pulp is a soft layer consisting of a vascular nerve bundle located in the innermost part of the tooth. Generally, bacteria from broken teeth or deep caries can cause inflammation of the pulp. If the inflamed or damaged pulp is not removed, it causes infection in the tooth and surrounding tissues and the tooth falls out.
